The year is 2123 in the sprawling megalopolis of ARCH×ANGELES, now the largest habitable zone in the world, spanning from the pacific to the Rocky Mountains, covering the former states of California, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho and Utah.
In this world, there are three kinds of ‘people’. Live-born Humans, Lab-grown Synths and Factory-assembled Robots. Due to human overpopulation, the Government has in the past few decades introduced laws, incentives and other measures to reduce the surplus humanity. However to keep the world running, these humans have been quickly replaced with synthetics and machines.
Into this, you are created.
